What Have the Romans Ever Done for Us?

September 20, 2016

I've just found a CSB Safety Bulletin which ended with:

Salus Populi Est Lex Suprema

Or "People’s Safety is the Highest Law" which is also the state motto of Missouri and a handful of other cities and institutions.

I don't believe the CSB use this motto any more (happy to be corrected !), so if they don't - does anybody want to suggest an appropriate motto that relates to Process Safety that they may want to adopt and/or share your favourite (or most annoying) engineering related Latin phrase.

Please note that "Illegitimi non carborundum" is not related to any kind of pre-welding preparation and doesn't count.

I'll start you off with "Semper Vigilo" (Police Scotland) - Always Watching !
